Why do we need somebody else to carry our baggages !!

I was at the airport waiting at the international airport to receive my sister and my 2 beautiful angels , let me first mention about the mosqies ..... could not stand the mosquito infested place (airport arrival) ..... Nothing to do other than shooing those blood sucking pests...

And then I started observing and absorbing .... people coming out... some very excited , some lost , some tired , some searching for the vehicle and trying to get use to the sudden chaos ... ( whts with our airport god knows ) every time I get a eerie feeling ... kutch to hone waala hain !!!!

You must be thinking why write about an evening at the airport ... kyaa khaas hain oosme ??? The reason to write this note is that after all the observing and absorbing Iam now very sure that in India we certainly do not have dignity of labour ...and total abusing of privileges ... we act as if these privileges is our birthright . At the airport most of them use the porters help to get their baggage pushed out ....hello !!!!!  arent these people there for helping mothers with babies and young children , old people , physically challenged people??? why do I then see Hatta Khatta men and women using their services ???? .
An actor  from tarak mehta .... just one bag... he was walking around trying to see who recognises him and was dying to give autographs had a porter pushing his EK MAATRA BAG WAALA TROLLY  .
Ooske baad one of my college mates ( Mithibai) ... who posts a lot of stuff on equality , women empowerment ... herself involved in a lot of social causes ... last I had heard her giving a lecture on how we should be helping the economically backward people ….walking next to the porter who was pushing her trolly .... Mind it !!!  she is strong and sturdy and only 2 bags.... all she did was waived her LBD ...  Lady u are so fake ! the next time I meet u I will make sure I tell u that ….. first get ur own act right and then preach others … There were manymore like her and him .... 

Well all u  guys can guess ... all the abusing of privileges was done by INDIANS ALONE... none of the foreigners ( even the NRI ) used the services ... the ones who thought its their birthright ... were DESI WAALE INDIANS !!!!

Is labour so freely available and cheap in India that we have no value for it ? what ill you do when you go to other countries ?? Far far tak no insaan ... forget somebody pushing your trolly . . Also SO EXPENSIVE !!!

My appeal … Apna bojh khud dhoho … unless u have a back problem or any physical problem . DO NOT MISUSE THE SERVICES ….Is all I can say ... 

What I mentioned above must be sounding so trivial .... but learnt it from my uncle .. if u carry your own bag .... u will also learn to travel light ... not only that it also relfects on your own capability whether you are fit phyiscally and fit to be travelling as a person !!!

Samantha D'Souza Completely agree with you Moushumi. In fact I think this stems from something much deeper. The root of it lies in our caste system, where the lower castes perform menial tasks. We are too posh to get our hands dirty.

Samantha D'Souza If you travel or live abroad you've got to do things yourself. And what's wrong with that. The Indians living abroad seriously piss me off with their whining about how in india maids do everything for you
